Step into the wonderfully weird world of ODDITIES, the newest exhibition at Green Door Art Gallery. This playful and unexpected collection celebrates the unusual, the imaginative, and the delightfully offbeat—because sometimes the most interesting art is the art that doesn’t quite fit inside the lines.
Featuring a dynamic mix of oil painting, upcycled sculpture, collage, digitized painting, and mixed media, ODDITIES brings together five artists who each have their own wonderfully unconventional way of seeing the world.

Jackie Rabbit
Jackie Rabbit is a visual artist originally from San Francisco. A tattoo artist by trade, she also works in acrylic paint, pen and ink, and colored pencil. She draws most of her inspiration either from nature and ecological issues or from her dreams and experiences. These things become intertwined in her work to create dark fantasies that tell the story of her inner life and traumas. Through this approach, she aims to create pieces that resonate on both a personal and universal level, inviting viewers to reflect on their own inner landscapes.
Dave Rudis
Local artist Dave Rudis creates new and interesting things from liberated items.
Amela Cikota
Amela Cikota is an abstract collage artist. She is inspired by nature and the hunt to find nontraditional materials; constantly searching for new materials to incorporate in her collages. Particularly looking for items that have a technology embedded in them such as, player piano paper, sewing patterns, computer punch tape, floor plans and more. Combining these with more natural papers to create a relationship between nature and technology on one surface, a connection to our daily lives.
Collage artist and painter, Amela Cikota, was born in Prijedor, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She currently works full time as a high school ceramics teacher and is a graduate student at the University of Central Missouri.
Matt Bryan
” I create algorithms of simple mathematical functions and logical rules to construct abstract art from the 1s and 0s of my digital photographs. Each of my algorithms was inspired by different concepts from mathematics or computer science, so each one draws out different kinds of shapes, textures, or colors from an input image. Every pixel in each of my works is the unique result of one of the processes I designed and the image I chose to apply it to. None of my creative processes involve random chance or AI.”
