Matt Bryan - Dye Sublimated Aluminum

I create algorithms of simple mathematical functions and logical rules to construct abstract art from the 1s and 0s of my digital photographs. Each of my algorithms was inspired by different concepts from mathematics or computer science, so each one draws out different kinds of shapes, textures, or colors from an input image. Every pixel in each of my works is the unique result of one of the processes I designed and the image I chose to apply it to. None of my creative processes involve random chance or AI
