Amy Wilcut - Mixed Media Botanicals

​Each and every one of us possesses an extraordinary gift to create. I feel so incredibly grateful to be able to do this daily in my makeshift home studio. It is when I’m creating that I feel closest to Creator and my best self.  Creating is also how I connect with others, remember things, bring beauty to a broken world and also how I am able to honor a beloved. Recently, I have been asked to create memorial botanicals in honor of those who have passed for their family members. These botanicals represent permanently preserved, unforgettable moments and collections of beautiful remembrances.
However, my art, like my life, has been a continuous evolution.  I haven’t always solely created botanical pieces. Other different media (assemblages, mosaics, acrylics, encaustics and collages) have also brought me great joy. I’m incredibly grateful to all of you who have “shown up” for me and accompanied me in whatever capacity on this soulful and transformative journey.  Somewhere on this unforgettable ride, I found my voice.
