Artist Statement

Zak Pottery reflects both my practical and creative sides, contrasting strong utilitarian forms with designs, lines and patterns that complement the spontaneous nature of clay and the richness and diversity of our environment. The use of smooth and rich glazes emphasize, rather than conceal, its rough and earthy nature.

I believe we connect through the use and display of thoughtfully handcrafted objects and my pottery is inspired by that richness and diversity.
